What is the solution regarding the Strait of Hormuz?
For those who have not been keeping up with the news, the United States began an unconstitutional war. Only Congress can declare war and that did not happen.
The United States has lost the war, even though it has not admitted defeat.
Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz and the United States is trying to change that dynamic, because President Trump and others do not want to admit defeat. Meanwhile, the United States is running out of oil.
It is worth noting that the Strait of Hormuz was open before the United States, under President Trump, began this unconstitutional war. So things are worse due a war of choice that did not have legal backing behind it. Basically, the United States began the domino effect that has led to today.
Why should you care?
Oil comes out of the Strait of Hormuz. Fertilizer comes out of the Strait of Hormuz. Other industrial elements necessary to modern day life come out of the Strait of Hormuz. For the worldwide economy to function properly, the Strait of Hormuz needs to be open to the world.
The modern world depends on oil (which is turned into diesel for trucks that transport food to stores or farm equipment that plants and harvests food), fertilizer (to grow crops) and other elements for various kinds of manufacturing.
A simple way to understand this is to think about your daily drive to work. You take certain roads. If a road is blocked due to construction, an accident, or a disaster of some kind, it disrupts normal life. Sometimes you can find an alternate route, but it causes delays and problems. Sometimes a road is blocked completely and life is disrupted.
That is what is happening on a worldwide scale.
Without getting into all the various political aspects, the question is, what can the average person do to help open the Strait?
I propose prayer, but not prayer for ourselves. For those of us living in the United States, we live in a nation that helped create this problem. Let’s repent and do something that will help solve a problem for someone else.
Let’s pray for the millions or more people who will suffer hunger and starvation because fertilizer is lacking to grow crops. The effects are not immediate. But at the end of the growing season, the fewer crops worldwide and the lesser food worldwide will become evident.
God blesses obedience to His Word. He commands us to consider the poor.
Psalm 41:1 Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.
2 The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.
In this case, the problem is much larger than taking a food donation to a local foodbank. The United States is effectively cutting off fertilizer and ultimately food for the world. I say the United States, not Iran, because the United States began this war and can also end it in a day by walking away.
Matthew 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Jesus taught that if we will live life according to the Word of God, in obedience to the Word of God, that it leads to life. The Creator gave us an instruction.
Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Deuteronomy 8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.
The United States has a lot of blood on its hands for backing the war in Ukraine as well and instigating war and famine through its war with Iran and the effects not just on Iran or the United States, but on the world as a whole. In my opinion, we would do better praying for others than selfishly praying for ourselves, especially since the United States has a heavy hand in all of what is happening. Many people will starve due to famine due to the United State’s role in closing the Strait of Hormuz. The United States has put the world in a precarious and untenable position that will lead to disaster if this is not stopped immediately.
Rather than pray selfish prayers, let’s think about the effect on the food and water supply for the “least of these”, the poorest of the poor who have no helper and who are subject to these international forces attempting heavy-handed power plays, particularly those coming out of the United States itself. Only God can intervene because so far, no leader(s) have stepped up to the plate to stop it.
Let’s bring promises like this before the Lord. He will be faithful to answer.
