Cycles

Conditional probability

Cycles or “turnings” are recognized by society. Various sectors attempt to define cycles.

The reason this blog focuses on the many prophecies that have been fulfilled is due to the branch of mathematics called probability. The probability of Old and New Testament prophecies being fulfilled in Jesus Christ has been estimated. Here is information from a book written in the 20th century.

Basically, the author estimated just 8 prophecies fulfilled in Jesus. That came to or 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000 or 10^17 or ten to the seventeenth power.

Jesus said if any man will do, he will know. Those who have put the Word of God to the test know it is true. For those who are unsure, statistics like the above are given to encourage them to seek.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Read the Word of God. Listen to the Word of God.

Back to cycles. The secular world recognizes cycles. Some call it “turnings”.

God explained the cycles and why they occur.

There are sevenfold cycles of judgment.

Leviticus 26:18 And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.

Leviticus 26:21 And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.

Leviticus 26:23 And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me; 24 Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins.

Leviticus 26:27 And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me; 28 Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.

There are cycles of sowing and reaping.

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Hosea 8:7 For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.There are cycles of sin and deliverance.

There are cycles of repentance, deliverance, and bondage.

Judges 2:18 And when the LORD raised them up judges, then the LORD was with the judge, and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: for it repented the LORD because of their groanings by reason of them that oppressed them and vexed them. 2:19 And it came to pass, when the judge was dead, that they returned, and corrupted themselves more than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them, and to bow down unto them; they ceased not from their own doings, nor from their stubborn way.

There are cycles known to God.

Daniel 2:21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:

There are other cycles besides those listed above.

The politics of today is in part being influenced by these cycles. If you look at the seven times more curses, and read them, you will see parallels to today.

It is imperative that the world come to the Biblical understanding that this world is created by God and the laws he has set up are over all.

If things are not working, we need to go back to the instruction manual, the Bible, and find the remedy.

Here’s just one relevant political point. Bribery.

Today we call it by other names. Some are: pay-to-play, quid pro quo, kickbacks, influence peddling, graft, public corruption, nepotism, dark money, conflicts of interest, trading in influence, state capture, graft and corruption.

So if the Bible commands against bribery, yet if we permit it, how can we expect anything but the curse? This is not difficult to understand. And that is just one topic.

This is the basic exhortation of the Lord God to all mankind.

Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

Some scriptures decrying bribery are below.

Exodus 23:8 And thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.

Deuteronomy 16:19 Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.

Deuteronomy 27:25 Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.

1 Samuel 8:3 And his sons walked not in his ways, but turned aside after lucre, and took bribes, and perverted judgment.

2 Chronicles 19:7 Wherefore now let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with the LORD our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.

Proverbs 17:23 A wicked man taketh a gift out of the bosom to pervert the ways of judgment.

Proverbs 29:4 The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that receiveth gifts overthroweth it.

Ecclesiastes 7:7 Surely oppression maketh a wise man mad; and a gift destroyeth the heart.

Isaiah 1:23 Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them.

Amos 5:12 For I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins: they afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate from their right.

It is a profitable activity to read the Bible through each year. There are Bibles that are divided by days to make it easier. The difference in Bibles is the reading grade level. The KJV correlates to Strong’s Concordance which has the Greek and Hebrew definitions of each word for scholarly study. In any case, reading the Bible through helps illuminate things that are talked about on this blog. The proverbial light bulb goes on.

The solution is to recognize that what we experience has already been defined by the Word of God. We need to go back to the Bible, examine it, examine the details, and find the appropriate solution and implement it.

Psalm 119:18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
