
Matthew 13:52 Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.
The relevancy of the gospel remains, but the means of delivering it can become outdated due to technical advances.
Like a centrifuge, the experience of each generation gets thrown out as the world expands and new technologies and “revolutions” (Industrial revolution, computer revolution, etc. take place), and where will they (those of older decades of experience) go? What can they do?
The gospel circuit riders of the 1800s who used horses would be out-of-date in the 1950’s. By then, the world had expanded to buses, gosple tents, and automobiles.
If the church, and individuals in the church, hop onto new technology, the ability to preach the gospel remains relevant.
Otherwise, people end up isolated, with no way to share decades of experience.
Psalm 92:14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;
There are exceptions, even Mother Teresa had a corporate jet for the ministry.
But for the majority who are not attached to major resources, if they do not want their lives to be oursourced to AI, if they do not want to be relegated to a life that is thrown out by the “centrifuge of progress”, then it is necessary to learn to be relevant online.
There will always be some local ministry.
But there are many hours, even for the most dedicated church goer and volunteer, that could be used for ministry.
Jesus commandment to go and preach the gospel remains. We have to rise to the task to use new tools to do it.
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
