Luke 13:34-35

Jesus warns Jerusalem of desolation

Luke 13:34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!

35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

As Jesus was rejected, he talked of the death of prior prophets as well and intimated of his own coming death. He warned them desolation was coming.

In 70 A.D. the Romans destroyed Jerusalem.

If President Trump and those who support war go ahead, Iran has already said it will respond in kind. Up until now, it has restrained its hand. It is unlikely that what happens next will be a gentle as what has gone before.

Desolation is coming because there will be a reply in kind and the warmongering factor in the United States has underestimated or ignored the warnings of what will happen next.

Proverbs 26:27 Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.

Psalm 7:15 He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.

16 His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.
